Ashiyan-e Shomali Rural District (Persian: دهستان اشیان شمالی), formerly Ashiyan Rural District, is in Fuladshahr District of Lenjan County, Isfahan province, Iran.[3]

At the National Census of 2006, its population (as Ashyan Rural District of the Central District) was 4,576 in 1,245 households.[4] There were 5,790 inhabitants in 1,622 households at the following census of 2011.[5] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 4,812 in 1,367 households. The largest of its 18 villages was the Isfahan Defense Industries Complex (Persian: مجتمع صنايع دفاع اصفهان), with 2,453 people.[2]

After the 2016 census, Ashiyan-e Shomali Rural District, Khorram Rud Rural District, and the city of Fuladshahr were separated from the district in the establishment of Fuladshahr District. Additionally, Ashiyan-e Jonubi Rural District and Kariz Rural District were established in the Central District.[3]
