Background
Black Fire I was sold to a private German collector[3] for $100 million ($100,000,000) on November 11, 2023 at a private location.[4] After a telephone bidding war selling it for $84 million ($84,165,000), a German collector made the buyer from 2014 a $100 million bid that he couldn't refuse.
