Ekulti Ek is a 2013 Marathi film directed and produced by Sachin. The film stars himself alongside his daughter, Shriya Pilgaonkar in the lead.

Plot

Famous singer Arun Deshpande (Sachin)left his wife Nandini (Supriya Pilgaonkar)and daughter Swara (Shriya Pilgaonkar) 18 years ago to focus on his singing career. Now, he lives a lonely life with his secretary Mehta (Ashok Saraf) and friend Madhura (Kishori Shahane). One day, Swara surprises him with a visit. Though Arun is initially unhappy, his secretary convinces him to let her stay. While living together, Arun and Swara start to understand and rebuild their lost father-daughter love.

Sachin liked his daughter's performance in the short film Freedom to Love and gave her the script of Ekulti Ek.[1]

Release

The Times of India gave the film three out of five stars and wrote that "The overall performances of actors, the script speaking of children growing in broken homes, and some very touching moments make this watchable".[2]
