Melissa Flores Godínez (born March 22, 1998) is a Mexican beauty pageant titleholder and model. Flores represented Mexico in Miss Earth 2018 where she obtained the title Miss Earth-Fire. Later in 2023 she would obtain the title Miss Universe Mexico 2023.[2][3][4]

Personal life

Melissa Flores Godínez was born on March 22, 1998 in Venustiano Carranza, Michoacan, Mexico. She studied a degree in psychology at the Contemporary University of the Americas, she is currently pursuing a specialization in cosmetics. She is currently Director of Culture and Tourism of the Government of Venustiano Carranza where her fundamental role has been to promote social, cultural and educational work.[5][6]

Pageantry

Miss Earth 2018

As Miss Earth Mexico, Flores represented Mexico in the 18th edition of Miss Earth pageant on November 3, 2018 in Pasay, Philippines.Where she would place herself in the fourth best position, obtaining the title Miss Earth-Fire 2018.[7][8]

Miss Universe Mexico 2023

On September 2, 2023, Flores represented the state of Michoacan in the 5th edition of the Miss Universe Mexico 2023 contest, where she became the first representative of Michoacán to become Miss Universe Mexico 2023.[9][10]

Miss Universe 2023

As Miss Universe Mexico 2023 Flores represented Mexico at Miss Universe 2023.[11] She was unplaced, with the eventual winner being Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua.
