Olivier Robinson Nkamhoua (born 2 May 2000) is a Finnish basketball player for Michigan Wolverines in Big Ten Conference.[1][2] He started playing basketball with Helsingin NMKY.[3]
Early life
Nkamhoua was born in Helsinki to Finnish mother of Scottish descent, and Cameroonian father, Christian Nkamhoua, who played basketball in Finland until 2006.[4] Nkamhoua was raised in Helsinki until aged 17, when he moved to United States to play basketball in high school, and to live with his father.[5]
National team
Nkamhoua has played 20 games in Finland's U16 youth national team.[6]
Nkamhoua has been part of Finland senior national team since 2021, and has played 20 games in total. He was forced to miss the EuroBasket 2022 due to his commitment to Tennessee,[7][8] but next year he represented Finland in 2023 FIBA World Cup,[9][10] in his first major international tournament.
