Sheila A. Skeaff (born 1961) is a Canadian-born New Zealand nutritionist and full professor at the University of Otago.[1] Her research focusses on food literacy, sustainable diets and iodine deficiency.[2]

Academic career

Skeaff was born in 1961[3] and grew up in northern Ontario[4] and graduated with an MSc in nutritional biochemistry from the University of Guelph in Canada in 1988.[3] She and her husband Murray Skeaff moved to Dunedin to work at the University of Otago[4] in mid-1989. She completed a PhD in human nutrition in 2004.[5]

In March 2018 Skeaff received a teaching excellence award from the University of Otago.[6]
