Yenepoya University Main Campus

Yenepoya University is a full fledged private University of higher education located in Deralakatte, Mangalore, Karnataka, India. It was established in the year 2008 as Yenepoya University, although multiple colleges started in series with the Yenepoya Dental College taking off in the year 1992.[1] The University has various constituent colleges for Medical, Dental, Allied health sciences, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Nursing, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Engineering and Arts, Science, Commerce and Management.[2]

Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) has been recognized by University Grants Commission, New Delhi, India under 3(A) of the UGC Act, 1956.

Mr. Farhaad Yenepoya is the Pro-Chancellor of Yenepoya Group of Institutions.[3] The University has about 13,000 students and is widely sought after for medical tourism and health requirements.

Yenepoya Medical College

Yenepoya Medical College is located at about 11 kms from Mangalore city. The college was established in 1999. Post-graduate courses are being offered by the university since 2005. The M.B.B.S. (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) course lasts for about 4.5 years plus a one year mandatory internship as per set standards of the National Medical Commission for India. The courses are mainly oriented for earning a degree.

Yenepoya Dental College

The B.D.S. (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) course is offered by the Yenepoya Dental College as per norms laid out by Dental Council of India.[4][5][6]

Post-graduate courses

MDS (Master of Dental Surgery) courses are three years. The examinations and awarding of degrees are regulated by Yenepoya University.[7]

Centre for Ethics

Yenepoya University has a Centre For Ethics that conducts structured academic programs in bioethics. The centre hosts the Yenepoya University Institutional Ethics Committee that is recognized by the DCGI. The centre mentors many institutions for training ethics committee members.[8]

The Centre was started in 2011. The Centre runs MSc in Research Ethics course which is funded by an NIH Grant.[9]

Advanced Technical Cooperation Center

Yenepoya ( Deemed to be university) recognized Edward & Cynthia Institute of Public Health (ECIPH)[10] as an advanced technical cooperation center which supports specialized Masters of Public Health ( MPH)[11][12] at Mangaluru.

Hostels

Yenepoya University has two guest houses for accommodation - Meridyen and Gardeyenia.
