Trying to install sonarlint in eclipse luna 4.4.0. Installing from marketplace failing with below error :

  • What is the value of your `-vm` argument in **eclipse.ini**? I resolved this problem setting this argument to a _java 8_ runtime. – EliandroRibeiro Dec 21 '18 at 20:53

To install SolarLint in Eclipse Luna, download the SolarLint plugin and install new software from an archive (the file you downloaded). I was able to download from https://sonarsource.bintray.com/SonarLint-for-Eclipse/releases/. See the similar question Not able to install sonarlint plugin in Platform: Eclipse Mars.1 (4.5.1).
